General Motors, Opel.de



Zentropy Partners, lead digital agency for General Motors globally, designed and built the new Opel.de site which provides the customer a smart range of state-of-the-art features and services such as the ability to configure a car, save the details, order it from a dealer, and more.

Zentropy followed a customer-focused process to drive the site redesign. We researched customers who use automotive sites to understand the role of the internet in the car-buying process, in order to establish functional requirements based on actual customer needs.

In terms of integration (all services are tied to each other) the Opel internet system should now be the foremost in the European automotive industry.

This has been the biggest project in Zentropy's history and at the same time the most international one, involving Zentropy experts from Germany, UK, USA, and Canada.


my role: user experience lead. I was responsible for overall user experience supervision and information architecture for site services, working with a team of 5 people to define personalisation, car configurator, car comparison, dealer locator, plan a route, and the integration of these services.
