Head of User Experience. Directed the user experience activities
in a busy new media agency. Responsibilities included business development,
managing staff, and leading specific projects for clients such as Microsoft
and Johnson & Johnson. Other clients included General Motors, Hewlett Packard,
Royal Bank of Scotland, Nestlé, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
IDEO, London, 1994-2000
Member of the leadership team, founder of the web design practice, project
leader, and interaction designer. Projects have been diverse across technologies
and industries, including kiosks, information strategies, websites, products,
services, and computer software. Some of my larger projects have been for
Sony, Shell, Nokia, and Deutsche Telekom.

Corporate Design, The Netherlands, 1991-94
Senior interaction designer. Developed screen-based user interfaces for multimedia
and professional communications products including televisions, a game machine,
videophone, and touchscreen terminal.

Interaction designer. Developed exploratory user interface for an object-oriented
operating system. Included flexible file view and retrieval systems, multimedia
applications for simultaneous communication, and stylus based menuing system.
