Summary
I was born in Minneapolis and studied humanities and
design in Chicago. After working several years in print, I completed my MFA
at Cranbrook. My workstudy at Philips in Holland inspired me to apply my visual
communication skills to user interfaces and products.
After living several years in both Germany and Holland, I have now been 15
years in London. My opportunities have enabled me to work for a wide range
of international companies and exposed me to very different business cultures,
including in-house, consultancy and startup. My projects have taken me to
Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, France, Hong Kong, Israel, and back to the
USA.
User experiences have been central to my work. I have interviewed people in
their homes, observed operating room procedures, worked with the Institute
for the Visual Impaired, researched all levels of Hotel operations, and studied
the mass transit systems for several major cities.
I am now pursuing ways to bring my broad design capabilities into the wider
business perspective, influencing the ways companies create and manage ongoing
customer relationships across multiple communication channels and contact
points.
